Girl’s best friend

Oliver is the sweetest, cutest, friendliest, and definitely most adorable dog in the entire world. He can be bribed to do anything with turkey. He loves playing fetch, and for some reason he puts up with me and my in-your-face-i-love-you-so-much annoyingness.

He gets a new bandana each time he goes to the groomers, and I’ve probably kept around 25 adorable bandanas! Sometimes I lay them all out and let him pick whichever one he wants. Today he chose the orange one ;)

We were only outside for a few minutes before Oliver started getting wimpy and wanted to go back inside… Haha! He’s such a spoiled little pup!

It snowed last night, but it’s pretty much all gone now!

It’s a meatball party

We’ve always bought frozen meatballs from the store, but the other day I was over at DJ’s house and we made homemade meatballs. Let me tell you, they looked insanely delicious. So the next day I made them for supper, and holy cannoli, I don’t think we’re ever buying frozen meatballs again!! They were SO freaking easy too! I think next time I’ll only make half the sauce though, because I don’t like the meatballs completely soaked in it.

You add 2 pounds of hamburger meat, and 1 pound of mild pork sausage to a large bowl

Some quick oats and eggs

Spiiiiiiiiices

And mix it all up! This part is gross. Like, really really gross. But it’s definitely worth it.

Bake bake bake!!

Mix up the sauce of a bottle of BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and other yummyness

Yum!!

I made brussel sprouts and spaghetti to go with the meatballs, and they were SO GOOD!! And it made a TON! It probably made close to 30 meatballs.

Have you tried any new recipes recently?

Meatballs

Ingredients for the meatballs:

2lbs hamburger

1lb milk pork sausage

1 tsp. pepper

1 cup milk

2 cups quick oats

2 eggs

1/2 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. chopped onion

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together, form into balls, and place into greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Drain grease from pan, and pour sauce over the meatballs.

Ingredients for sauce:

2 cups light brown sugar

1 bottle of Stubbs Original BBQ sauce {or any BBQ sauce}

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. chili powder

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and pour over meatballs {think about making half the sauce, unless you like lots of sauce on your meatballs}

Super super easy, and it only took me about 10-15 minutes to make!

Beauty is a light in the heart

No matter what crazy photoshoot I have, Joelle will aways go along with it! Not always 100% willingly, and I will definitely admit to using bribery sometimes ;) But I love her dearly, even though she snores like crazy and it drives me absolutely insane.

Her being on the phone wasn’t part of my plan, but she certainly has a lot of expressions while she’s on the phone ;)

This shoot literally lasted approximately 2 minutes. She ran inside because she was so cold, and I said “wait a minute, I’m not done!!” and she said “maybe not, but I am!” :)

Joelle made a weird goop thing, and it’s so weird to see it sprawled out all over the table.
